Meditation Group

The meditation group is a weekly drop-in group offering the practice of mindfulness meditation. Meditation provides a relaxing and calming experience which helps to reduce stress and provides a sense of well-being. It’s amazing how good one feels after a meditation session. 

Each week the group is provided with a picture, a reading, a word, music or something to ponder. The material is used for reflection and as a basis for the meditation upon which we can share our thoughts and personal experiences. The format includes the topic presentation and discussion, twenty minutes of silent meditation and concludes with any thoughts arising from the meditation.

Meditation is offered in the sanctuary and runs seasonally during the program year. Everyone is welcome, no experience necessary.

The meditation group is currently on hiatus during Lent 2024 (February/March). Participation in the Lenten Series on February 28, March 6 and March 13 is encouraged during this time. For more information, please speak to or email our clergy.
