Notice:

Throughout the pandemic, we have been able to offer pre-recorded, live streamed and/or recorded services. These services have been beautifully curated by our professional Technical Director Chad Dudley and have allowed us to worship as one community during some of the most difficult periods of the pandemic.

Starting in July, your Clergy and Wardens have made the difficult decision to bring regular video recorded services to an end. As we balance a variety of financial commitments this year, we find ourselves unable to sustain the costs involved in producing weekly video recordings of our services.

This fall, we anticipate being able to return to our past practice of making available audio recordings of the service on our website. We thank members of the volunteer Tech Team for being willing to give of their time on Sunday mornings to record.

We recognize that the decision to bring live streamed services to an end will impact some of our members, who for a variety of reasons, are not able to join us in person on Sunday morning. For this, we apologize.

We wish at this time to thank Chad for his flexibility and dedication over the last seven months, as he has prioritized being with us every Sunday. His presence in the choir loft managing our digital presence has been a blessing!

If you haven’t yet had the opportunity to return to church since the reopening, we encourage you to do so, and would like to remind you of the following:

  • Masks are required in the church building.
  • Those who are vaccine eligible are asked to be fully vaccinated before coming to church. Children under 5 who are not at this time vaccine eligible are welcome in church.
  • For those who are immune compromised and/or desire generous amounts of social distancing, we have set aside seating in the choir loft and side chapel for you. These spaces are apart from the areas of the sanctuary that are more densely populated during the service.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me, Rev. Charmaine Evans or any member of the Corporation — Robert Walker, Lynda Greuel, Cathi Nelson or Brigid Stewart– should you have further questions or concerns. We thank you in advance for your understanding.

In peace,

Nicole+ on behalf of the Members of St. Stephen’s Corporation
