Funeral Rites
The clergy and church or chapel are available for funerals rites and memorial services at St. Stephen’s, whether or not the deceased and/or family are church members. Funeral services are scheduled according to the availability of the church and the clergy. Ordinarily, the officiating clergy person(s) will meet with the family to offer pastoral support and plan the service.
A guide to planning a funeral at St. Stephen’s is being prepared and will be available shortly.
Living members of St. Stephen’s are encouraged to complete a funeral plan and to file a copy with the church. This greatly helps the clergy and family members honour a loved one when it comes time to celebrate their life through the funeral rite.
